| Bio: | Reasons for this LJ's existence: Firstly there's just too much baggage and history assosciated with my old nick, gathered over the last half-dozen years. Nothing huge, melodramatic, or anything like that, I've just been thinking of a fresh start for a while. But it'll only be a semi-fresh start as I can't bring myself to completely sever contact, hence I'll give the new LJ/AIM/Yahoo/e-mail addies out to some, and the ones I only know via LJ should figure it out when I add them to this LJ's friends list. Secondly the name, to save you from looking it up, is German for "the Sacrifice". My mistrust of people and my life-that-is-lies reminds me of a character in a series of books. The character's name is "FitzChivalry Farseer", the books are "The Farseer Trilogy" and "The Tawny Man" (also a trilogy) by Robin Hobb. They're pretty good reads and have a character I identify with in many ways. Reading the books will also tell you why I chose this nick (And the reasons for having it in German are; that it's a language I love almost as much as my own, and it gives it a certain uniqueness that I value). Thirdly this LJ is (hopefully) not going to be filled up with the off-the-cuff thoughts, quizzes, personality tests, single-line entries, and otherwise empty content that the last one was. Granted, I'm not going to change my ways and put a blow-by-blow account of my life in here, I'm not going to put my deepest, darkest secrets in it, but at least the posts might be worth reading. As for the actual content of them, I've no idea. And not using the easy content will mean far less updates than the last one. Hopefully, that'll be a good thing. Fourthly, I diverged from my original "no locked posts" idea. T'be honest, I fucking hate the way people turn their entire LJs into friends-only, private, or otherwise inaccessable to the random reader, journals. I may have only made a dozen or so friends-only posts in my previous LJ, but even those were a dozen or so too many. And so, I start again. Most people who find this journal will find it purely because they're friends, new and old, who I point to it. To those of you who find it randomly: Hi.
